Amusing Casino Rituals for Luck

Rituals have, since ancient times, been practiced by mankind in the hope of bringing more luck and warding off all evil. To this day, many gamblers bring their rituals in the casino in the hope of getting that most coveted prize. Some of these practices may be strange and highly unusual, but are nevertheless still interesting.

One of the more common rituals done by some gamblers in the casino is to wear their lucky outfit or jewelry. These clothes or accessories were considered lucky because these may have been worn during their past winnings.

Bringing in lucky charms is also a very common ritual in the casino in the belief that these will guard their cards. Some people keep it out in the open, while some keep it secretly hidden in their belongings. Amulets are very common. However, there were some gamblers who were spotted bringing even stuffed toys and Teddy bears.

Many people believe in horoscopes, numerology and the like. Horoscopes are easy available in newspaper and the internet. Not a few gamblers would check their horoscope for the day just to see if they are lucky for that particular day they intend to go to the casino. Numerology is more complicated, but there are people who do consult with experts to check if a particular day and a particular time is favorable for them to go gambling.

Probably the most common ritual, and probably the easiest to do, is tossing a coin in a fountain. However, the casino may actually be the luckiest with this practice. Their fountains do earn a lot of money from people who toss in coins thinking it will bring them luck.

Many players also believe in the power of prayer. A lot of players were seen holding rosaries and crosses and saying prayers, aloud or in whispers, in between hitting the slots or while holding their cards.

Not a few players were seen talking to the slot machines. We all know that there is no way of knowing the results of a spin, but there are some players who would talk, even plead, to the machine to give them that most-coveted jackpot. Some would even kiss and stroke these machines.
